One of the first things you want to do when your child is born is cry tears of happiness. The other is thanking God it is over with. But one of the common steps in my family is to call the grandparents and the rest of the family to spread the joyful news of the new branch on the family tree. After that, we would hand out the good old cigar; have a few puffs and a pat on the back.
Leave it to us to try something different. We decided on handing out the Mail-A-Trees. Yes, part of it is because I work for The GreenWorld Project but the other part is we wanted a healthy alternative. We also wanted something that represented us (we love to go fishing and camping) and how we want to raise our daughter; loving and respecting our natural resources.
Mail-A-Trees are a wonderful way to celebrate a child’s birth. Let’s try giving a breath of fresh air with planting a few more tree seedlings every time a child is born.

Always,
Edie
